Excellent host. Breakfast and paid meals were huge. Great value.

We were four of us and we stayed in a family room with two large beds. The room was quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable and room and bathroom were clean. We had ordered ahead for dinner. The meal was one of the best we have had. We are Sri Lankans living in the USA and we know what good Sri Lankan food is. Very authentic. The soft drinks they had made and the desserts (watalappan and curd) were simply fantastic. Harith, the co-owner and our host, was professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. We used his jeep to go on a safari early morning. Again, he did not disappoint us. Induruwa Safari Resort is one of the true gems for anyone who wants to stay at a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced location.

We loved the homestay and felt really welcomed by the owner and his family. It's a nice place to stay for 2 nights to feel relaxed when roadtripping. We had the best driver for our 8 hour safari, enjoyed the breakfast, lunch and homemade sri lankan dinner. If you want to try a good Ayurvedic massage, ask for it though the owner and he will guide you to his friend, who offers the best treatment. Also a short visit to the elephant orphanage nearby was worth seeing, and you support the orginasation to continue the care taking. Loved this stay, and would come back!

The rating is based on price/value, not everything was perfect for the price there is not much to complain about. Super kind and friendly people and the place covered all of our needs for the 1 night stay. They also offer safari tours, which we didn't know about before, so you may consider that before booking a tour somewhere else. Breakfast was also nice with various things and we were definitely full and satisfied after it.

If you want so stay in Udawalawa and do a safari, look no further.
