This place is NOT a 1-star hotel, it’s more of a 4 star hotel with 5 star service.
The caretaker ladies are the sweetest and are wonderful cooks! We spent 4 beautiful days here and had an amazing time.
Clean and comfortable beds, hot water, good wifi. The owner is very talkative and well spoken, and the ladies are up at the crack of dawn to serve delicious pancakes and if you ask nicely, dinner and lunch as well.
Just outside of town where it’s quieter, and compared to others, not that steep of a walk to town.
Great views of Ella Rock. Must stay!

The staff at the property were so lovely and accommodating, the room itself was spacious and clean with a lovely view of Ella rock. Also really conveniently located, a short walk from the centre of Ella and all restaurants.

Everything. It was a very good stay. It’s a family run place and love and care was given to every aspect of our stay.
We were a family of 5 staying in a family room. The family room had 2 kind sized beds and 2 sets of washrooms. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh water bottles provided. The property was a short walk from the city center and we enjoyed the location immensely.
The breakfast was beyond perfect. Probably the best we’ve had in our 2 weeks stay in SL, Everyday served with love and tender care of the ladies working there.
A big shout out to the owner who used to stop at our tables in the morning and chat with us on a range of topics from politics to the future of the country. He even invited us over to dinner one evening and it was simply perfect.
