Lovely historic pub that has been beautifully renovated. Very helpful host and met some other guests for a chat in front of the log fire- a home away from home.
Tina was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The building has very interesting heritage.
Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were quiet.
A great old building, our room was large with a very small ensuite but this is pretty normal in these old buildings. Our bed was super comfortable which was important after a few long days of traveling and having an injury. I just wish Id been up to going back for a chat with the owners in front of the fire after dinner.
SO WONDERFUL!! I can't speak highly enough of Tina's place. This is the ultimate Narrandera stay and if you get a chance to experience this gorgeous building and warm hospitality, you should take it. I stayed in Room 10 and couldn't have loved it more. Tina, the owner, was such a welcoming host and gave me a personal tour of the historic building. She is the best kind of host with extensive local knowledge and a genuine care for her guests. The bed was so comfortable, room sparkling clean, bathrooms spotless, lovely wrap-around verandah to relax on, large dining area (the old bar) and a nice sitting/reading room. Narrandera is also a very beautiful little town with lots of historical buildings, nice cafes, and a beautiful koala rehabilitation area near the river, and yes, you can swim!
Lovely atmosphere, and very friendly and knowledgeable host Tina, who had some amazing and interesting stories and historical facts surrounding the Star lodge, while giving us a great tour of the building and surrounds.
