Staying at this property was like staying at home and with family - with the advantage of a stunning (almost exclusive) lake view, and in an authentic/historic building with roots dating to 1350.
To give that family feeling, the staff were exceptionally welcoming including the owner, the reception (especially Beate and Paul), the waiters (especially Claudia). When you feel like a tea or coffee, the machine and tea selection is readily available by the terrace 24/7. When you’re a bit warm (as we stayed during a short heat wave in the summer), the staff bring a fan and have lemon coolers always filled. In between walks around the area, you encounter the friendly staff for a nice chat. As you have breakfast, the waitress remembers your water and coffee preference.

Absolutely great location of the hotel in a quiet area next to the lake, private beach, beautiful garden with lots of flowers, super place to relax. Lots of possibilities for easy and more demanding hikes and sports activities in the area. After our trips we also loved to use the spacious terrace overlooking the lake and have a cup of tea or coffee, which are free all day. The breakfasts are absolutely luxurious with a wide range of local products. The rooms are spacious and well equipped in Austrian style, the bathroom clean and the beds comfortable. All the staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and always ready to help, there was a homely atmosphere and we felt really welcome. Free parking right in front of the hotel.
Amazing location right next to the lake with super clean water, very good breakfast with beautiful view at Dachstein icefield. The room we had was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were always smiling and happy to help. We really enjoyed our short stay and we can imagine coming back for more than one night.
Hotel has traditional Austrian ambiance and heritage. It is perfectly located with its own private access to the wonderful, clean lake. The buffet breakfasts offer many choices of fresh, traditional cuisine. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and many have view to the lake or a quiet pretty street. The staff is very profesional and friendly. We will certainly be coming back and highly recommending this hotel.
