Apartments Amtzell, Selbst-Check-in, Амтцелль, Германия

Booked this last minute as we were looking to overnight on a long drive and not sure how far we would get. Self check in was super easy. The two apartments we rented were spacious, there was a very well equipped kitchenette with a big fridge and freezer which was much appreciated as we had some supplies in an ice box and were able to keep them cool and refreeze the cooling elements overnight. Beds were quite comfortable, choice of pillows is a nice plus and bathroom roomy and new. The pizza place at the gas station across the road was surprisingly good and very friendly and the bakery the next morning as well. Perfect place to overnight, can’t say anything about staff as we didn’t see any. Also can’t say anything about Amtzell itself as we went straight back onto the motorway the next morning.

This was my very favorite kind of place for these reasons: 1. Spotlessly clean. 2. Simple, automated check-in. 3. Not too many knickknacks or decoration to clutter the space. 4. Just the right amount of furnishings and high-quality ones at that. 5. Very good bed and cotton sheets. 6. Good stream in the shower and great water pressure. 7. Safe, dry place to store our bicycles overnight. 8. Great natural light and a balcony to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. 9. Extremely quiet. We felt like we were the only ones there.
