Hotel Goldenes Lamm, Идштейн, Германия

We certainly liked the location of the hotel within the old town of Idstein and the owners/hosts of the hotel were especially kind and accommodating. We arrived directly from the airport prior to our check-in time, to see if it would be possible to secure our belongings there before heading into Wiesbaden for the day. The lady at the front desk said it would be okay to do so, which was very helpful! Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was decent size for being in old town. Breakfast the next day was great! There was traditional German choices, such as bread, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurt, and muesli. There were also scrambled eggs and bacon, along with coffee and a nice selection of teas! The dining area was bright and spacious. Note: You can park for free overnight in the Schlossplatz parking area. It is about a 5 minute walk from there to the hotel.

Great location in the historic town, excellent customer service ( after being accommodated with an early check in, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade, treats inside the room and overall friendly staff ). Many breakfast/ lunch/ dinner options within walking distance . Breakfast on site offered a good variety for all tastes. Highly recommended.
