Hotel und Restaurant Zum Lowen, Гельнхаузен, Германия

The hotel's location is central. You can easily walk to restaurants, shops, tourist office, sites in the old city, and to the train station. The Fachwerk (half-timber) of the hotel and the houses of the old city was magical. The room was very spacious, cozy, homey, and airy, with lots of sunlight, and the breakfast was generous. (I would suggest that the hotel staff serve breakfast as a buffet so that guests can choose what and how much they want rather than providing a set breakfast. This option would avoid waste.) There is also a shop (Kiosk) across the street that was open until midnight so it was easy to make small purchases. This family-owned hotel also has a Greek restaurant. The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. I felt very much at home there.

Nice room in historic building up a hill from the center of town. Owners were most accommodating. Good Greek restaurant on site. Good breakfast. Safe bike storage.
