Excellent location. Building was in great shape! Beautiful.

Fantastic location in a historic hotel. The person at front desk was very helpful in checking us in. The room was large and bit outdated (red carpet that's seen better days), the bed was super comfortable, linens were good, mini fridge and teapot provided with free coffee and teabags. My daughter and I stayed for three nights and it was perfect for our needs and close to everything in the center of the old town. It's a great value and I would definitely stay there again.

The building was built in 1592 and is the oldest surviving residential building in Heidelberg. The location is convenient to all local attractions.

This hotel is a gem. First, because of the house's history dating back to the 15th century - and you feel that. Second, because of the location, which cannot be better for Heidelberg. Third, and we want to emphasize this explicitely: because of the friendliness of the frontdesk staff. The young gentleman who welcomed us on June 29th (he origninally comes from Syria, now lives in Germany since years) was a role model of a service team member. Not only he explained us everything, apologizing for not offering A/C because of the buildings protective status, he also knew so much about the history of the house and he shared many stories about it with us. We felt super-welcome. Please, hotel management, give this man our regards, and praise him for his dedication and professionalism. This is how hospitality should be.
