Drinks were not included in the dinner meal, and bike rentals were extra.
In the most incredible location…the village of Lehde in Spreewald…utter tranquility, clean, comfortable (!!) beds, pillows & room, such a nice staff, especially Maria at the reception desk! Excellent breakfast, nice that we could rent bicycles at the hotel. We loved it and hope to return.
The hotel is in an excellent location, conveniently located near the canals, and the beautiful village lady and the town of Lübbenau. There are restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast is excellent.
We stayed in the Suite with sauna and it was very nice. The sauna was clean (like new) and functioned perfectly, it was very nice to relax in the heat in private. The room was very clean in general, the tile work in the shower might need a little deep clean, but otherwise spotless. It was a huge room in the attic of an old house just steps from a canal and the hotel's two restaurants.
We had amazing weather so I can't contribute to the "hot v cold" aspect of the attic.
Overall a great stay with a very nice buffet breakfast included. The buffet spread was pretty comprehensive, eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), breads, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, meats...the whole deal!
So grab some bug spray, rent a kayak, and sauna like a German (but in private)!
Loved it, clean, next to river, perfect romantic getaway!
