Hotel Soma is located outside the town of Ilulissat just down the road from the Hotel Arctic. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good Wi-Fi. A Danish breakfast is served every morning and good catered hot meals are available every evening for 125 DK. The center of town and the Ilulissat Icefjord World Heritage Site are a walkable distance from the hotel for reasonably fit people. Otherwise, I believe there is a bus that visitors can take to the main tourist sites in town. The staff at the hotel is excellent and helpfully arranged for me to stay another night after my flight was canceled. I highly recommend Hotel Soma. Travel tip: If you want some great views of the ice bergs, walk over to the Hotel Arctic and have a drink on the outdoor patio.

Friendly staff, great hotel, good for watching Aurora Borealis because it is a bit away from the town center. So, good conditions to see the polar light.
