Alexander Mountain Resort is located in Gerakari, 22 mi south of Rethymno. Set on the foot of Mount Kedros, it features an outdoor pool, tennis court and 50-person conference hall. Free bikes are provided. Alexander Mountain Resort rooms have balconies with garden or mountain views. They all come with a kettle, fridge and hotplate. Spacious and bright, they also feature a satellite LCD TV, DVD player and safe. A Continental breakfast prepared with fresh, local ingredients is served daily. The on-site restaurant serves traditional Cretan dishes. In the resort lounge guests can play table games, while in a specially arranged recreation room there are machine toys and electronic games units. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all communal spaces. Hiking, climbing, bird watching and cooking classes are popular activities in the area. The room was very clean and comfortable.. The pool area was also very well kept and great for the hot summer days. Great value for what you get. The mountain scenery is beautiful. I recommend this place for those that want some peace and quiet amongst the nature of crete.
The building was quite new. The views were appealing in a village area. The village itself was not something spectacular. A good value for just 54 euros Spring time.

If you love vintage stuff (old furniture, cameras, cars, etc') you gonna enjoy it. Free parking! Breakfast is ok, except of orange and coffee - these are awful. Nice pool.
Rooms are ok, with a nice view to the mountains (choose the room with he view, otherwise you will face the noisy pool area).
p.s Eat in the small place near the supermarket. It's not fancy, but food is good
Great hotel in a beautiful area. I think that it had the most confortable bed I have ever slept on a hotel! Lot's of stuff to do in the hotel and in the area around it
Serene atmosphere. Quiet enough to grasp nature's sounds. Very good gardening effort extending your eye to the green mountain behind the street. Decent food options in walking distance. Clean pool facilities with a snack bar available on site, very comfy for kids. Tennis and mini golf equipment are provided for free and bikes with helmets as well. Board games and chess at their lobby as well as a full-size piano for whomever interested! Hair dryer and mini fridge and vanity set provided in room price. Very kind and hospitable people, making the travel experience much personalized and unique.
