The owners are keen to emphasise that this is a hotel, and it’s a point well made. It’s a hotel with extras. Hotel++, if you like. The extras are (at least in my room) the simple kitchen facilities - more than the kettle in the average uk hotel- as well as the delightful verandah, and also the lovely gardens dotted with chairs and loungers down to the beach. Equally, though, it means you don’t get an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen or a living room with sofa. I’m not complaining, just trying to adjust your expectations. I was very happy here, and would happily visit again. The owner was always courteous and helpful, and forgiving when I arrived very late. (Do watch out for the Petalidi turning off the main road. If you start going UP you’ve gone too far.) In a lifetime of travel there have been few places I’ve felt more tranquil than on my balcony at the Grekis hotel.

Lovely beach right below the hotel! Nice little village within a short walk, Kalamata 40 mins by car, there was something for everyone! Top marks for cleanliness and politeness.
