Our stay at Ilingas Mare was absolutely wonderful and my favorite of all the five places we stayed at in Greece. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the remote location, the beautiful water, and the very clean and modern apartment. And while the Ilingas Mare tavern is not run by the same business owners, it was great having the traditional Cretan homemade foods each evening just outside our door.

We really enjoyed the proximity to the beach, which ended up being an amazing beach! There was a series of caves so you could easily spend the day without roasting in the sun or having to rent a day bed. Additionally the units were very clean, good AC, and views of the water. As long as you go down to the beach by 10am you can pick any spot.
