The Gateway Varkala was a very nice place to stay. Everything in the hotel, from the staff, service, and location was top notch. The grounds are large and kept impeccable with a nice swimming pool. The breakfast was very varied and enjoyable, and the staff at breakfast were very accommodating with any requests. My wife scheduled a massage in the spa, and she said it was amazing. Thank you Gateway Varkala!
The hotel has a great view of the sea and nice sunsets from the beautiful balcony, pool, and almost all of the seven rooms we booked for 3 nights. My family liked the one-man band playing very good nostalgic English music and a very good buffet for the gala Christmas Eve dinner party. The pool is well maintained. The daily buffet breakfast was great the rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. We went out for dinner to the Varkala cliffs and other good dinner venues because we wanted to taste the variety of foods that were being offered with live music. at much lower prices.
Suddep, Rahana and shabir helped us a lot during our stay at Gateway Varkala. Sudeep gave great suggestions about sight seeing in Varkala. Rahana and shabir helped us for lunch, breakfast and dinner at Gateway Varkala.

Nice and helpful staff, spacious room, comfortable bed, pool with beautiful view, quick 5-10 min walk down to the beach through the forest, lovely tennis court, super pool bar, very tasty breakfast. We loved it and we highly recommend this hotel.
