Sitting on the top of Pasumalai Hill, Gateway Madurai stretches over 62 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens. It has an outdoor pool, tennis courts, and an Ayurvedic treatment center. Gateway Madurai enjoys beautiful views of the famous Meenakshi Temple, Madurai City, and Kodai Hills. It is 9.3 mi from Madurai Airport and a 15-minute drive from Madurai City Center. The spacious rooms feature either classic or modern interiors, all equipped with a satellite TV and a mini-bar. Most rooms have large bay windows with garden views. Private bathrooms come with a bathtub. (Bathtub only in suites) Day trips and car rentals can be arranged at the tour desk. Guests can also play table tennis and badminton, or make use of the business center. Laundry services are also available. Customized menu explained course by course by the Chef, who rustles up the gourmet delights in the studio kitchen at the Moon Deck, special celebratory cake cutting at the end along with a souvenir of the Moon Deck completes this unique and bespoke dining experience. Local and international dishes are served at VISTA restaurant. The charming Harvey's Lounge Bar offers imported liquors and a billiard table.

Nice location and peaceful mind .Recommended for family stay
All the staff are very friendly from reception till dropping us off at the train station. Special thanks to Eashwar Sir for making the stay special by letting us experience the Meenakshi Amman Darshanam moon deck, arranging cabs making sure every morning and night that we have having comfortable and fun stay. Soby Thomas ensured we had a great room and have comfortable stay. Thanks to Aasai Thambi Sir we could feed rice and Krishan Sir for giving ground nuts to feed the peacocks and experience the dance just next to us, standing. The food was great, and we had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed it. Overall great experience and I recommend Gateway for a perfect stay at Madurai
The location of this property is amazing. It has a huge area and on top of the hill. One can get an amazing view of Madurai. The property is constantly visited by some friendly peacocks and that was the main highlight for me and my family. They have activities but we could not experience them due to our tight schedule. The hotel has some excellent staff members n I would like to quote a few names in particular - Eashwar, Pandian, Govind, Venkat. They were super helpful and very attentive.
It's a very relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I would recommend to spend one entire day to get the best feel of the property.
