My original booking was for two nights but I liked the place and family so much that I extended my stay for an overall of two weeks. The guesthouse is in a very quiet neighborhood with other guesthouses and fields around it. The mountain views from the room and breakfast area are spectacular. The WiFi is extremely fast as the property has fiber internet.
The family is very kind and helpful. Every evening they gave me a thermos bottle with hot water so I could make tea.
I also had breakfast a couple of times: very delicious home made omelette and a kind of bread/pancake.
To get to Leh market it takes about 15 minutes by foot. There's a rather busy way along the Changspa Road with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes and quite some traffic. And there's also a more quiet path with less traffic and less shops passing Karzu Pond (see attached screenshot).
If you leave the property to the north there are many paths for walking, often running along small irrigation canals.
