Nature surrounding and the history of this place back for 6 generations own with old traditional house decorations inside. Warm and homy feelings. Comfortable beds and clean room.

The room was comfortable and quiet. The Wilderness Center was in the middle of nowhere and very homey. Plus, there were lots of sheep to pet! The breakfast was home cooked, and the seating was family style, which was fun!

Coziest farmhouse experience. Home-cooked meal and great interaction with the staff. Probably best authentic Icelandic food that we had our whole trip. Staff also notified us that we could see the Northern Lights outside. Extremely accommodating. Also loved the museum and sauna.

Really cosy family business. Awesome set up, we slept in the "dorm" which is basically how the family used to sleep. They let you go through the museum with audiotour included. Very nice stay and I've learned a lot about the life of the typical Islandic family. Great food too, we took the family style dinner and it's a recommendation!

Liked everything about this place! The authentic vibe, staff’s kindness, dinner, sauna, museum, amazing views, northern lights, beautiful drive to the location. I wish I could stay there longer than one night.
