Emporium is a family-run gastronomic hotel in the historic center of Castelló d’Empúries, in Catalonia’s Alt Empordà region. It offers a One-Michelin-Star gourmet restaurant with an award-winning wine cellar. The hotel is just 2.5 mi from the beaches of the Costa Brava and Empuriabrava Marina. The area around Castelló is part of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park. There is easy access by road to Girona, with free parking at the hotel. Bedrooms at the Emporium Hotel are bright and comfortable. They all have free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The hotel also has a relaxing lounge and a café-bar, serving drinks and snacks all day. The hotel’s elegant Empòrium restaurant serves characteristic regional cuisine. It offers tasting menus and a daily set menu, as well as à la carte dishes. The extensive wine list includes many local wines.

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is nicely fitted in a modern style and is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Only a short walk to the centre of Castello d'Empuries and it's maze of medieval streets. Museum is worth a visit. Only a short drive to Roses, Empuriabrava and the wonderful countryside of Alt Emporda.
We stayed one night at the hotel to make a day trip in Empuriabrava. The hotel was at a few minutes drive from the centre of Empuriabrava. The staff was very friendly and speak French and English. The hotel had a very modern interior and the rooms and other spaces were very clean. The bed was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious with a modern walk-in shower.The breakfast was nicely served and we had a good variety of bread, croissants, cake, fresh orange juice and fruit, ham, cheese, egg, yoghurt, etc. . We had a very nice stay at the hotel.
Room and bathroom was large. Staff were helpful, arranging a taxi for us when no buses were running.
