It was walking distance to the major basilicas: St Clare, St Francis, and Santa Matia Maggiore, cafes, and stores.

Location was very central. The room was clean and the facility was extremely useable with a common kitchen and incredible terrace on the top floor. The view was amazing! The host has a very convenient wonderful market nearby and he was such a kind and gracious man. I highly recommend staying here.
I loved staying here. For less than half the price of renting an apartment, I had a clean, comfortable room as well as a communal (but seldom used) kitchen on the lower level and a terrace with a sweeping view on the rooftop. As a budget-conscious solo traveler in Assisi for more than a week, I could make myself a strong cup of coffee in the morning, cook a pot of lentil stew when I got tired of pizza, and savor the sound of church bells from the terrace while watching the sun set and larks swoop overhead. Heaven! My single room was small but airy and had everything I needed. A big plus was Mr. Gambacorta, who was kindly and courteous. He cheerfully helped me to practice my beginning Italian and allowed me to use his grocery store down the street for an essential Amazon delivery. I would happily stay there and again and will recommend his hotel to visiting friends and family.
Good location close to S. Chiara and central Piazza del Comune. Lucky to get a room for Calendimaggio as lots of rooms were booked. Kitchen downstairs if you want to eat in...with stove and refrigerator that was very nice.. Room itself is very clean; shower has nice hot water. Fantastic terrace area upstairs with a wonderful view. Owner is genuinely very nice and helpful. Old photos and artwork of Assisi throughout, I really enjoyed seeing.
