Claudio is a wonderful host! Thank you for accommodating me in the last minute and for help with everything! The location is amazing (on the Main Street of Spello). The place is huge, ideal for a family, little too big/costly for me but it’s ok as I booked it in the last minute. One request - if possible, please add more planters to the entrance area like it’s in the pictures here :)

Our host volunteered (via a booking.com message) to meet us at the Spello train station! I called him from the train (or can text or WhatsApp) and he met us, handled our luggage, and drove us to the apartment. It is an absolutely beautiful very large apartment, with super comfy beds (two queens, two twins), lots of pillows, well-stocked kitchen with all appliances, great large bathroom, and fabulous location in Spello. He also gave us contact info for Casimero, the super taxi driver in Spello, who took us to and from the train station when we did a day trip to Assisi and then again when we left Spello. Physically fit folks can easily walk to and from the train station; we are a bit older and appreciated the ability to catch a ride. The apartment is an AMAZING value! Prob half the cost of similar apt in Assisi, and it was so lovely to be able to decompress and enjoy the gentler, friendly pace of life in Spello for 3 days.

Host Claudio is incredibly considerate and attentive. The apartment is large and comfortable. The location is simply fantastic, at the bottom of the hill but within the Roman wall, which means you can walk up for dining and sightseeing but have an easy walk, no hill, for grocery shopping, train station, etc. The town of Spello is stunning, the most beautiful in the area by far, with restaurants of very high quality, far above what you would expect in a small town. There is a terrific rustic pizza place right around the corner. Claudio can also show you a great place to park nearby.

What a lovely surprise. It is a full, very large, apartment with beautiful furnishings and decor. The furnishings took on even more meaning when Claudio, the fantastic host, explained how many of the pieces had come from his mother, grandmother, and late brother. Felt as if we were staying in a family home rather than a rental apartment. Very special! It’s very comfortable, quiet, and centrally located. We didn’t cook at all, but if we had wanted to all the necessary equipment was available in the fully stocked kitchen. As mentioned before, Claudio is so kind. He picked us up and took us back to the train station and made sure we had a good understanding of the apartment and all the spots of interest in beautiful Spello and further afield.
