This was such a special place to stay for 3 nights. The history of the village is interesting. The renovations done are beautiful. The staff was exceptional. I am vegan snd they went above and beyond to accommodate me. The food was fresh, delicious, and very affordable. The pool was a perfect place to relax after day tripping around the region. And we highly recommend a spa treatment. They offer free concerts on the weekends. And the revolving art galleries really add to the experience. This is a true gen!
It was an incredible experience staying at the castle, the apartment is unique and very cozy. Everyone who works there is very polite and attentive, the food is also very tasty, not to mention the view which is beautiful.
The history. The view. The spacious rooms (they are apartments). The peaceful nature surrounding the place. The friendly staff. Everything too.
I have never been more impressed with the staff at any other Italian accommodation.. Larissa was a fabulous hostess at our breakfast every morning. Marco and Allesandro and Manfred were the most incredible waiters seeing to our every need. The food surpassed our expectations. The love and precision that went into the reconstruction of this 10th century village is phenomenal. The area is a bit remote, but well worth the adventure.
The location is definitely a bit off the beaten track, but everything else was really top notch - food, service, suite, etc. Very relaxing. Make sure to take time to watch the video about the restoration. Very impressive!
