Great communication with the host, Salvatore. We were able to check in after 11 PM. The apartment consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room with a kitchenette, and a spacious terrace. From the terrace, there is a view of Mount Etna, a swimming pool, and a playground. There is a table and four chairs on the terrace. The apartment is clean and spacious. It is a 2-minute walk to the nearest beach entrance. On the way, you pass a store. The store is well-stocked with Italian products, and there is very tasty bread (much better than in the local Lidl), but you won't find some products that you might be used to, such as cucumbers. The communication with the host, Salvatore, and his son, was fantastic - true Sicilian kindness and hospitality. The location in Fondachello was fabulous for families. The pool area lovely and the setting, against a backdrop view of Etna, was stunning. Sunsets were incredible. The beach is literally one minute walk away, as is a fantastic supermarket. The restaurants very nearby are superb, well priced and great service. The kitchen area in the apartment is well equipped and the washing machine a life saver if you are staying for a long time like us. It is a perfect base to explore the island (car needed but parking space free and apartments gated and secure). Taormina, Etna, Savoca nearby by car. All in all, our stay was fabulous!
