Castel Rundegg was wonderful in every regard. Based on our experience and photos, our adult children are hoping to go there. The staff was outstanding and a real joy; the hotel was beautiful, although we didn't use many of the facilities (e.g., too cold for outside pool). Dining was superb. We loved knowing we actually stayed in the oldest castle in Merano. The details of the house were amazing.
Amazing olde world charm but upgraded so nicely. The staff are attentive and the property really luxe and special. The outdoor pool is perhaps the loveliest I’ve ever seen. Great spa. Really everything was over the top good. We stayed here 35 years ago and it’s even better now.
Beautiful setting, nice amenities and spa, short walk to the old town
