The room was outstanding. This hotel is one of the cleanest nicest hotels you could find for the price. There were little authentic Italian restaurants across the street. The room was small but had a beautiful private balcony overlooking the main street in the town. The room looked very updated with a very nice hot shower and nice towels. Everything was spotless. Just remember you need a car at this hotel because there are no trains or buses nearby. No one spoke English but they tried very hard to be helpful and volunteered to use Google translate so we could explain the situation and work out the details.

Air con wasn’t working and had issues with the language barrier initially. Turned out the remote needed batteries to be replaced. There are a few steps to contend with to get to the foyer/reception which can be an issue if you have heavy luggage or elderly people. Not a major problem though.

The clean environment and rooms. The smile of the staff and the effort put in trying to help despite language barrier.

Very good value for money at the time of my stay, only let down by the lack of public transport to and from Naples centre. There's plenty of shops and restaurants in the locality but seriously don't expect to be living in luxury in Varcaturo...i think it's a HAS been place that now needs a full makeover.
