This hotel was booked by a friend for me to use on my birthday on my days off from the Africa Mercy Ship stationed in Toamasina port.

It was an excellent experience that we had in our stay at Calypso. Good thing I changed hotel and it wasn't a miss. The staff are great, all smiling and greeting you. Special mention to Josefa at the reception, he made us stay like kings. He is one of a kind. You will have the gym with friendly staffs, the pool and the steam bath to make you feel more pampered. Food is great specially every sunday buffet. Breakfast is nice though they can still improve on this for not repeating everyday menu. I have stayed 14 days and the same breakfast everyday or maybe its just me. Nonetheless, Calypso is highly recommended.

It is always a pleasure to Josefa's smile in reception when I walk in. He is very helpful.

Absolutely will come back, excellent service and courteous staff., definitely recommend for family and friends.

Food was excellent, location was good. Lots of barking dogs across the street that you can hear if you are in a room that faces that side.
