Great value for its price. Good enough facilities and location.
But the best part is that it's relaxing and a great hub for meeting fellow travellers. My bed was close to Brian's bar which gets noisy at night but in a good way. It grows on you. I hope this place stays the same next time i visit.
Also, I saw three chunky fluff balls. Apparently they don't get along lol

Absolutely loved my stay at Boxpackers Langkawi! The vibe here is so chill and welcoming—it felt like the perfect island home.
The bar is such a cool hangout spot to meet fellow travelers, unwind, and enjoy great drinks after a long beach day. And honestly, one of the sweetest parts of the stay? The friendly cats roaming around the hostel! They made the place feel extra cozy and homely.
The location is fantastic, super close to the beach, local restaurants, and shops—everything you need is just a walk away. The hostel itself is very well maintained, and I really appreciated the cleanliness of both the dorms and common spaces.
If you’re heading to Langkawi and want good vibes, great people, and a laid-back space with a touch of home (and cats!)—Boxpackers is the place to be! Would love to come back. 🏝️🐾
The atmosphere in the bar or the hostel is just welcoming and so relaxed! I met so many people and kind of find a home far away from home and hope to come back at some point. June does everything for his guests, you can ask anything and he will try to help you. And he's the basketball player ever ;) The cats and hammocks are the best. I had a great time and wish I would've stayed longer!!
The location of the property is very good, close to the main shopping area and also to the beach. There is a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and 5 cute and adorable cats that kept me company a lot of times. There is also a rest zone inside the building and a bar with very nice cocktails to enjoy in the evening. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owner is a very nice and chill person and can also give you good recommendations on tours and best tourist attractions to visit.
Comfortable stay. The bar attached has the BEST cocktails I’ve had in ages. Highly recommend checking it out!
