Picturesque Casa Lamat sits directly on the lagoon and they are pet friendly. There's a restaurant that features home cooking. Downtown Bacalar is close by.
We loved the camp feel with nice facilities. It was great to be right on the water and each cabin had its own little nook, just right for our family of 4. We appreciated the eco-friendly stay and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and the family suite worked for our family of 4 once they added the optional extra single bed so that my son and daughter didn't have to share a double bed. The fans and mosquito nets were helpful.
The platform with the hammocks was lovely and the room was clean and comfortable.
We loved the vibe of Casa Lamat, very tranquil in nature, perfect for relaxation. Excellent location on on the Laguna. Xavi and the rest of the staff are excellent hosts.
Beautiful setting and gardens. Eco-friendly. Ceiling fans and fans inside mosquito nets. Great loveingly prepared food. Staff/owners super friendly and helpful. Cute kitten which the kids loved.
