Leiden is a beautiful little city. Familie Quellhorst is in a surprisingly convenient location to the shopping center of Leiden (very short walk over). The little apartment feels like a home away from home -- it is cheery, cozy, comfortable, and equipped with a kitchen and a generously sized table in the living room that we used to play board games/card games on. Every morning we were greeted by the host's chickens on our way out of the gate. The Dutch stairs on the property are odd if you're not used to them, but it was fun to get used to navigating them as they showed up all through the Netherlands throughout our stay. The property is quiet in the morning -- you can watch people as they go by on their bikes and hear the birds singing and the church bells ringing as you wake up. This, for us, was a picturesque, peaceful, and soul-soothing stay, and we couldn't be happier with the place.
Nice quiet area, close to town, reasonably spacious. A place to keep our bikes and freshly laid eggs!
There was a well fitted kitchen with good coffee machine.
Bed was extremely comfortable and house was in a peaceful setting. Lovely bright living/dining room with big windows.
Comfortable small apartment within walking distance of the city centre and nearby public transport.
It is like home from home. Comfortable and equipped with everything needed. So convenient for shops and the attractions of beautiful Leiden.
