Location, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, comfortable room. Good breakfast.

The location although on the outskirts, was close enough for a nice walk into town and to the beach. The three busses we needed for the main ride into Leiden town (the main town with trains etc) was only a short walk away. The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of storage for our clothes so that we didn't have to live out of our suitcase all week. The continental breakfast was lovely too, with lots of options available. If you're stuck for places to eat dinner, I recommend Open Doors (the ribs were the most amazing I've ever had) and Ko Sing (everything was freshly prepared and delicious)

The hotel is family owned. There is obvious pride in this old European chic and beautifully decorated central lounge and breakfast area. We were treated respectfully for both engagement and privacy. Our accommodation was a spacious apartment - very comfortable with outdoor seating for a relaxing sit at the end of day. Would readily return
