The location was beautiful and it was very convenient for everything we wanted to see. The rooms were a bit small but we had all we needed, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Our room was near the stairwell and it was a bit noisy when people came in or out during the night and early morning.
The hotel is about a 45 minute walk from the center of Leiden or about 20 minutes away on the 55 bus (which runs very late). It's a very peaceful part of town with very little light pollution too so I really enjoyed having the best of both worlds here whilst visiting Leiden. I could have a great time in the centre, but be guaranteed a restful night's sleep too and a very pleasant walk in the surrounding wood and nearby canals first thing in the morning. The facilities and food were great, but the staff were exceptional. I unfortunately needed to change plans due to an unexpected family issue and requested to move my non-refundable booking forward a couple of days without penalty. The staff not only agreed, but offered kind words of support too. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Nice place, cute surrounding, walkable to Leiden. I think very beautiful in the spring summer months as it’s very green. Service was friendly. Breakfast was great!
A very special location. Altough the hotel is not situated in the old building, it’s a beautiful place to stay! Great staff, very friendly. Bed was comfortable, room was clean.
