It was one of the most beautiful locations and properties! The rooms were amazing and had the best views. The staff was nice and extremely helpful and had the best food! Vladimir makes the best Negronis! Highly recommend.

We liked everything Matakauri had to offer. The staff were more like friends and treated us like family. Sitting in the lounge in front of the fireplace enjoying the view of the mountains was absolutely stunning. AND the food was fabulous!!

The position of the propery is great, only about 10 mins out of town and right on the lake, the views were outstanding! The rooms are spacious and well thought out to capture the view from all angles, very private, a lovely bath with a view of the lake/mountains and Im all about a walk in wardrobe to hide the luggage in. There are nice tracks down by the lake to go for walks and a jetty to swim off if your game. There were a lot of staff and they were all extremely attentive.
