The Flaming Kiwi is a great place to meet amazing people and, above all, to relax. You can do both here! The first time I stayed was in 2016, and I’ve been coming back ever since.
The hostel has everything you need, and the staff is absolutely fantastic, shoutout to Kent and Emilia!
If you’re going to Queenstown, please don’t stay anywhere else. I’ve stayed in other hostels, but this one gives you the full combo of goodness!

Perfectly located to get around Queenstown. Did the Ben Lomond Peak Trail to the summit via the Tiki Trail which starts just down the road from the hostel (only hike I didn't have to drive to). Clean, with a common room more like someone's home than a hostel. Light, charging point and place for small items, plus small curtain, at the head of the bed is a nice touch.
Super friendly and clean hostel. Lots of things going on but easy to find a spot to chill too.
The beds have mini privacy curtains on them that are about 1/3 of the bed so you get a bit of personal space. Little reading light and 2 outlets. Good sized under bed luggage lockers.

Ridiculously close to the town centre
