Uros Titicaca Khantaniwa Lodge, Пуно, Перу

We had an incredible stay with Leo and his beautiful family. They are great hosts who showed us what life is like on the floating islands and how they are made. A truly authentic experience fishing , picking reeds, learning the local language and meeting local families on the Uros islands. The room was comfortable, clean and had a great view for sunset. The shower was hot and the breakfast and dinner was delicious! Yuspagara!

I can’t recommend this place enough. Beautiful views, hot showers, extremely comfortable bed & spacious room, delicious breakfast and tea provided all day. We ended up staying 3 nights instead of 1. It was the perfect lake & community experience. Leo & his family are extremely welcoming, kind, accommodating and truly give you a magical experience and look in on their life on the lake. If you want an authentic, unique, interesting experience with delicious home cooked food, relaxation, and luxury for an extremely reasonable price this is the place to go. Leo organised a tour for us to go to the island and also took us on a tour around the lake showing us how they build the islands then to a different little island. He showed us the little shops on the lake, took us for his morning collection of fish and taught us some of his native language. It was the best part of our trip and we’re so grateful to have had this experience.
