Set in tropical palm gardens with 2 swimming pools and views of the Atlantic Ocean, Hotel Girassol offers modern and spacious rooms with private balconies. Accommodations at Hotel Girassol are decorated in warm colors and have floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto the balcony. The rooms and suites have a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The Hotel renovated all the public areas towards the end of 2016. The spacious restaurant borders the garden and offers salads and pastas. Restaurant has a terrace and offers different choices of fish, meat, salads and pastas. Guests can enjoy an evening drink from the modern First Lounge Bar. The pool area features a sundeck as well as a partly covered terrace. The Girassol is located 1.2 mi away from the Funchal’s city center, which is a 30-minute walk away. The 24-hour staff can arrange car rentals and free private parking is available.

Simply amazing view from the hotel balcony (we were lucky to get propbably the best room in hotel). Also the fact that the we had two rooms - living room and the master bedroom. You can enjoy your evening while watching Tv and eating something off the table.
Friendly staff, excellent location, spacious rooms. The room was clean. Spa services were great and reasonably priced.

Very friendly staff. The hotel was clean and breakfast was exceptional with plenty of options. We found the location perfect, Old Town east and Lido West. The rooms are above average size, smelled and looked fresh and clean. Balcony was a real plus with great views. Pool area was nice. Overall good value for money. Again I must compliment the staff
Great location for walkability, but also great location if you have a car (not necessary) because it has a very easy, convenient parking lot. Great view of the water. Rooms are spactious and comfortable. Great shower. This was the only hotel we stayed in with an exercise room (opens at 8:30am), which was nice since we had a long flight later that day. Breakfast was good, lots of choices.
