The house is really pretty, it has a beautiful outside and indoor terrace plus a garden on the roof. The bathrooms are very clean (there was someone cleaning the house almost everyday) and they offer a towel (free of fee). The house is also close to two beautiful beaches (less than 10 min walk) and multiple markets where you can get essential groceries.

The property feels like home, like a little family. You can meet great people there. Also it’s very calm and well organized

The hostel landlady was a thoughtful and caring person. She attended to large details, such as helping with bus transportation, suggesting tours to go on and which tour group, and the smaller details - which bread to buy, the cheese, .... I HIGHLY recommend this hostel

A lovely hostel in Sao Roque area of Ponta Delgada. Very spacious, areas are kept clean, I wish I'd had time to explore the garden and terrace, too. The owner Carina is very friendly and helpful (I had a later check-in than planned due to a delayed flight, and I also need a taxi booked for an early flight upon departure). The street can be a bit lively in the evening as the hostel is just a few steps away from the beautiful Sao Roque church square where local fiestas are celebrated. The beds are curtained off for privacy, equipped with a power socket and a lamp, nice and firm mattress. The bus stop to Furnas or into the centre of Ponta Delgada is just a few metres away, Also two beautiful beaches right next to the hostel (left and right) - the perfect sunrise/ sunset relaxation spots!
