Cozy and quiet room in a nice area in Glasgow. Easy walk to Queen’s Park and directly across from a rail station! Communicative and friendly staff!
Host robert actually made me tea. Gave me a map and directions to a grocer. Convenient to the rail station and within half mile of several bus lines headed into town. Has American washer and drier which meant all my clothes were finally dry. Huge comfy bed. Sink in room. Full kitchen so I did several of my own meals.
The neighborhood was quiet during night. I didn't feel uncomfortable there. Host explained everything and was interested if I had any questions or possible further problems
We liked it very much. Our aim was museums and Highlands. The area, Victoria Street about 6 minutes away, is nice with many shops and facilities. We did not realize at first that there is a train station-Crisshill-next to the location and that it takes only 8 minutes to the station Glasgow Central and thus to the centre. A day return costs 2,50 which is a good deal. The communication with the host was perfect.
We chose this spot because few other reasonably priced properties were available on the night before our flight home from Glasgow, and we're glad we did! The room was spacious, with three comfy twin beds and huge windows that admitted plenty of light. The shower was large and clean with good water pressure, and the property's shared kitchen even has a washer and dryer. We got there from the main train station easily and cheaply by local train, too. Best of all was Robert's welcome. He was incredibly warm--someone who relates to guests as if we're already dear friends.
