Sonnie and Simon (locals) are fantastic hosts that really care about their establishment and the enjoyment of their guests. Everything you could ever need from breakfast and coffee to hiking suggestions and nice hot showers.
So fun to stay here!!!! Loved the area. So beautiful and a cool hikers lodge. Really nice staff, such a cozy building. Comfortable beds and common area. The meals were also really great after a day of hiking and nice to have an option for lunches and dinners as there a not many restaurants near by. I dream about the chocolate peanut butter flapjacks…
Not hard to get to on public transport. C3 bus from Caernarfon takes you right to the front door.
What an absolute gem of a place to stay! The owners were very welcoming, the hostel is spotlessly clean, and such a quirky set up being an old school. Loved that! Highly recommend a stay! I arrived at night but waking up early and seeing the views from the hostel was lovely, its in a beautiful spot! Please take the time to wander along the road to the old slate quarry, well worth a visit!
Super cozy lodge, spotlessly clean. Amazing food cooked up by the hosts, who are warm and friendly. You cannot go wrong staying here! It's also in a great location in the hills with an incredible view.
This is the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Every detail was well thought out and the host was welcoming, helpful and kind. View was fantastic. Food excellent.
