Secluded, rural, beautiful. Lots of walking paths. The pub food was outstanding! The staff were extremely hospitable.
The room was spacious and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they are very helpful and friendly. Great dinner and breakfast.
This is a lovely traditional inn, I arrived soaked and exhausted and in need of recouperation, the staff and the setting made me feel instantly at home, after a few beers by the fire I was well on my way to feeling great. I can’t stress enough how friendly and helpful the staff are. The room was comfortable and well enough equipped, wifi is half decent despite being in the middle of the hills. It’s a beautiful location with dozens of great walks on the doorstep. Prices are high in the area but this place was reasonable for what you get. I had a big proper breakfast with copious bacon included in the price, felt it was great value.
2 night stay, excellent base to explore the duddon valley. Simple, clean and comfortable accommodation. Excellent food and drink. Friendly and helpful staff.
