This Victorian hotel overlooks the scenic Royal Tunbridge Wells Common and is a 2-minute walk from the town center. A full English breakfast is served in the hotel’s dining room which has views of The Common. All rooms at the Russell have private bathrooms and Freeview TVs. Tea and coffee is provided and some rooms have free Wi-Fi. Annex rooms have a small kitchenette with fridge, toaster and microwave. The historic shopping district of The Pantiles and the floral Calverley Gardens are under 15 minutes’ walk away. Tunbridge Wells Rail Station is a 7-minute walk away.

Breakfast was excellent.. Lovely room, service and cooked food. The location is excellent - very short distance to a wide choice of shops. Very helpful staff at this hotel.

You dont have to expect a 5 star hotel breakfst but what you get in Russel is much more than what you can expect for an hotel of this category. So I will rate it as excellent. I really like this hotel, its not the first time I stay here. I heard , the hotel might close, maybe to be change in appartments, or new hotel. I hope the hotel will remain because I plan to come back. I hope also the friendly staff will keep their job.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were supposed to have an upper floor, but when she saw our luggage and told us there was no lift/elevator, she moved us to the ground floor. Excellent breakfast - cooked to order! Charming hotel.
