Great service & food excellent. Outside room had been transformed from a more industrial past use but was comfortable and very acceptable nonetheless.
The people are all lovely as always and very helpful.
Elephant at the Market was one of our favorite stays during our European vacation. We can't wait to stay again! It was a quaint inn/pub with great rooms that feel like you are taking a step back in time and delicious food! Being able to pop down to the pub for a beer and take it back up to the room was such a great experience. It was quiet, safe and close to Highclere castle, which was our reason for staying in Newbury. Ollie was a great host! He checked us in to our room and was our waiter and bartender in the pub! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the inn/pub!
Great atmosphere, comfy beds and clean! The pub has good food and the staff were friendly!
