The staff are all exceptional and could not do enough for us. The George Hotel is old but beautiful with so much character. The breakfast was top quality and everything served with a smile. I throughly enjoyed my stay and would be back. So loved the history of the Hotel and embracing it, loved it, even the wonkly floors and small doors.
An immediate friendly welcome with a smile from the staff and manager. The hotel is steeped in history and it is evident in the bar/restaurant rooms, stairs, walls etc, you will revel in the Tudor style of the place. The bathroom may not be modern enough for some, but it was clean and adequate with lovely towels.
Quirky old inn dating from 14th century (mainly 16th/17th C.) in charming small Kent town with lots of historic features. The staff were brilliant- so friendly and welcoming. Beware the other reviews - we wished we’d eaten at the hotel (not in tiny Greek place opposite) and didn’t notice the church bells (even though my husband is a light sleeper).
Stayed 10 times here, always on my way to the boat.
Feeling a bit as coming home. Breakfast and dinner are really delicious. All people who works there, so friendly.
