Loved that this was located in the rolling hills of the Lake District. It was a perfect location with the sounds of the surrounding farmland. However it was not so remote that you could not to everything within a few minutes drive. They had a great range of food options for breakfast as well as dinner if you chose to dine at night there. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

From the moment we arrived, staff was attentive and welcoming. Felt like being part of a small family. Breakfasts were very hearty and excellent as well as the one dinner we had there. Location was scenic and idyllic. Would totally stay again. Rooms were comfy and the large bathtub was a bonus. Thank you so much.

The location, the building itself, the room was spacious with plenty of storage and a lovely big bath and bathroom. Also a must mention being the friendly staff, the pub atmosphere and food menu as well as breakfast options. We especially liked the dog welcome pack and option of fresh milk for hot drinks in the room.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms, very cosy place to spend a rainy evening. Really excellent food at the restaurant and the breakfast was amazing! We stopped for one night to break up the drive from Scotland and I wish we could have stayed longer, will definitely be back.
