Old Black Horse is located just 5 minutes’ walk from the center of Oxford. This 17th-century coaching inn offers free WiFi and a bar. Each room at the Old Black Horse has an private bathroom, a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. The inn offers easy access to the High Street, the university buildings and Magdalen College’s deer park. Oxford Railway Station is just over a mile away and can be reached in 25 minutes by foot.

This was a nice and clean room. I am most happy because of its location. It is across the bridge from the busy city center. It was calm in our neighborhood. It is across the street from a great pub, Oranges and Lemons. It was a stone's throw to a venue to see music. We saw music performances twice. We ate at the Oranges and Lemons pub at least three times. The pub has the cheapest best English breakfast we had on our tour. This Inn was a perfect relax and respite.
The room was comfortable. I liked that there was a small refrigerator. Whoever furnished the room seems to have taken extra care to make it as pleasant as possible. The location was convenient, not far from Magdalen College.
Very comfortable bed, good shower (pressure, hot water), mini-fridge regularly restocked with water, HUGE towels, and it was surprisingly quiet for being above outdoor pub seating. Very quaint and authentic feeling, Pete was also very helpful w directions to get there.
The location is fantastic. Close to restaurants, farmacy, then and transportation. Very spacious room and a great variety of channels on the TV. .
We stayed in a chalet behind the pub. There were 4 friends in our group and the chalet was perfect for us. It had one bedroom with twin beds, another with a double bed and the 4th person slept on the huge corner couch. The chalet was spotless. Kitchenette had kettle, toaster, fridge, cooking rings and we think a combo oven. Pete the owner was very friendly and we would definitely stay here again. There were many restaurants in the vicinity and we were situated just around the corner from high street as we were within walking distance of everything.
