Fantastic room with great views, lovely and quiet location. The staff were all lovely and helpful, and the food was spot on
Loved everything! Such a charming place to stay. Lovely cooked breakfast to fill you up for the day, we had a bit of everything. We were so lucky with the weather so had some amazing walks for Chapel Stile and Elterwater and a good hike to Stickle Tarn. There was music on Saturday and everyone brought an instrument for a bit of singing. Wonderful staff and such a lovely atmosphere. Shout out to Francesca! Can't wait for the next trip, will only be staying here.

Nothing was too much trouble for them
The hotel is in an amazing location.
The breakfasts are excellent and the bar staff in the evening were friendly and provided some great drinks options.
The atmosphere, the building, the location, the view, the staff, the food, the ale.
We found the staff really welcoming. The family room was excellent with proper beds for the children rather than just camp beds. The guest lounge was cosy and relaxing. Excellent breakfasts and evening meals too.
