Wonderful breakfast, set you up for the day. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the pub is in a very good location and set back from the road so not noisy. It was only a 10 minute walk from Matlock station.I will definitely return (Angela)

This is a refreshingly good old fashioned local pub, the atmosphere in the bar was superb, staff and regulars were all very friendly. The pub layout was exceptional; an area for games, a lounge area, a restaurant and outside areas to front and back - areas to suit every taste. The room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. The evening food was good and the breakfast was simple but brilliant - tasty, well-cooked and just what we wanted. Would highly recommend the Red Lion to one and all.
