My whole experience was lovely. The hotel and staff were welcoming and the breakfast was amazing with a good selection to choose from. The only downside for me was that the mattress was too soft, but other than that I would award 4 stars across the board.

I liked that The Shireburn is an old inn in a beautiful part of England. The fact that it's a bit worn looking made it all the more comfortable. I especially liked that it's said to be haunted. The room was comfortable and the dinner very nice. The kitchen even changed the type of lettuce in my salad for me.
