My whole experience was lovely. The hotel and staff were welcoming and the breakfast was amazing with a good selection to choose from.
The only downside for me was that the mattress was too soft, but other than that I would award 4 stars across the board.
I liked that The Shireburn is an old inn in a beautiful part of England. The fact that it's a bit worn looking made it all the more comfortable. I especially liked that it's said to be haunted. The room was comfortable and the dinner very nice. The kitchen even changed the type of lettuce in my salad for me.
Staff were very attentive nothing was to much trouble
