The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels. The breakfasts were excellent. The hostess was very friendly. We asked and were told to have our wine and cheese evening in the downstairs sitting room, which pleased us. The location near the water was a plus. We found out about the bus service from Bowness to Grasmere was a true find and one of the highlights of our whole trip.
