Nestled in the secluded village of Great Barrow and just 5.5 miles from Chester, White Horse Inn is a traditional coaching inn. Free parking is possible on site, and free WiFi is accessible throughout. Rooms at White Horse Inn are furnished in a cozy, contemporary manner. Each room has an private bathroom, as well as a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. On the same site as the accommodations is a local pub, which has a comprehensive selection of drinks including around 32 gins. The White Horse Inn is also in the CAMRA real ale guide and supports local small breweries with continually changing cask ales. Meals are also serves pub food in the restaurant from Tuesday until Sunday every week, using ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. Wonderful little inn beside a super pub! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nuno is an exceptional host, manning both the bar and kitchen by himself as well as being on call for all your needs. The breakfasts were fantastic and evening meals possibly even better. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. If given the chance, we would highly recommend the Sunday roast. The room was warm bright and colourful, the bed comfortable and nicely sized. We will definitely keep the White Horse Inn in mind if we are traveling to the area again.
Convenient location on the outskirts of Chester, ideal for our regular stays. Always a warm welcome, lovely breakfast from Nuno.
The room was beautifully decorated! Plenty of room to spread out. It was clean and warm. Hot shower was large! Everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
This quiet area is a perfect place for a well designed inn. We loved the size of the room, the comfort and everything about it.
