I love the history of the place, all the posters talking about the 1920s and 30s Western film industry in Lone Pine. Excellent pool and excellent hot tub, great at the end of a hiking day. Very clean area, nice helpful staff. Glad that they have a community microwave, thanks. I stayed in the original building not the new extension, be aware you need to bring your own cooler as there is no refrigerator. They do offer access to the community refrigerator though you require someone to unlock it.
We have stayed here before and know the room will always be clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. The history of the Dow Hotel is interesting.
The location is fantastic. The bed and pillows were comfy. I stayed here 3 nights, and I am glad I did.

We stayed in the historic part of the hotel. It was updated but still had the feel of the old west.
