I love this historic place. I come to Wellsboro just to stay here. The breakfast is A+. The lobby is always stunning, and the rooms are just fine. It was hot and I had some trouble getting the room cool, but it got there. The age of the building and the rooms give it character. I'll take this place over a Holiday Inn any day.
Super friendly staff. Nice bar/restaurant on premises. Nice outdoor area. Off street parking. Close to everything.
Cheerful, fast reception desk. Early cold breakfast for those of us who had to leave before hot breakfast. (Liked the 40's Big Band music in the dining room). Outdoor lounge was a good place for dinner and drinks. Staff was uniformly congenial and helpful. Good parking. Classic old hotel which I prefer over cookie cutter chains.
Old school architecture that takes you back to an earlier time. If you want to be able to somewhat experience what it would have been like to travel in the early half of the 20th century, you can get a sense of it here. I love the complementary hot breakfast and the staff is amazing. The location couldn’t be better.
